Cicis Pizza, dubbed by CNN Money as the no. 1 “Casual Dining Pizza Chain (for your money) in America” has nearly 300 locations in the United States. However, as far as I know, this American chain of buffet restaurants does not have an international presence.
But since many have been asking, how much is Cici’s in Australia, I did some research and found an establishment called Cici’s Pizza Kitchen. However, this restaurant is not affiliated with Cicis Pizza. They just have similar names.
Who Owns Cici’s Pizza Kitchen in Australia?
Since we’re on the topic, let me give you a little background on Cici’s Pizza Kitchen. This restaurant is now permanently closed but it was once located on on Port Rd at Hindmarsh in Adelaide, Australia. Its owner pled guilty to 17 counts of failing to comply with a requirement of the food standards code, 2 counts of failing to comply with an improvement notice or prohibition order and 1 count of selling unsuitable food.
Cici’s Prices in Australia
Before Cici’s Pizza Kitchen in Australia closed in 2021, they offered pizzas, burgers, salads, ribs and wings, pastas and wraps on their menu. Prices ranged from $12 to $16 for pizza, $11 to $12 for burgers, $10 to $15 for salads, $10 to $20 for ribs and wings, $14 to $18 for pastas and $10 to $11 for wraps.
Cici’s Pizza Kitchen vs. Cicis Pizza
Cici’s Pizza Kitchen in Hindmarsh SA Australia offered a variety of items on their ala carte menu ranging from pizzas, gourmet burgers, salads, wraps, ribs and wings, chicken parmigiana and desserts. It was a small restaurant located in Hindmarsh, a city in South Australia.
Cicis Pizza on the other hand is a very popular pizza buffet chain in America offering all-you-can-eat buffet for just $9 to $10 per person. The buffet spread includes 15 or more pizza options, salads, pasta, and desserts.
Back in 2010, Cicis Pizza had plans to expand their presence internationally. However, as of this writing, there is no Cicis Pizza anywhere in Australia. Perhaps soon?
